Community Service Club

Founded in 1915, Kiwanis International is a global organization of members dedicated to serving the children of the world. Kiwanis members dedicate more than 18 million service hours each year to strengthen communities and serve children. The Kiwanis International family comprises nearly 600,000 adult and youth members in 80 countries and geographic areas.

Members of every age attend regular meetings, experience fellowship, raise funds for various causes and participate in service projects that help our community. We sponsor Newington High Key Club, the Kiwanis Little League team, Boy Scouts, and American Legion Boy's State.

Members also make an impact throughout the world supporting the Kiwanis Children's Fund, the March of Dimes  to prevent birth defects, and the Kiwanis Global Campaign to ELIMINATE maternal and neonatal tetanus!

Locally, the club supports Salvation Army Camp Conri, Newington Human Services, NCTV, Newington Memorial Day Parade, and Life. Be in it. Extravaganza. Newington Kiwanis provides substantial college scholarships to high school seniors and Adult Education Scholarship

Our club is part of the New England and Bermuda District of Kiwanis which supports Connecticut Children's Medical Center and Kiwanis Pediatric Trauma Institute (Trauma Prevenition/Safety Programs). Please see the YANKIWANIAN MAGAZINE  for current projects
